Please make a 24 inch B10 Octa Softbox. It would be a dream for wedding photographers like my self. It is currently only offered in a 36” octa, strip, or square. Sometimes a 36” octa is just too big for the rooms we have to work in. I have talked to so many peers in the wedding industry who agree and would love to have a 24” easy open octa for the B10
Please release a reasonably long-lasting version of the D4. Thousands of studio photographers, including myself, are heavily invested in Profoto lighting that requires packs such as Fresnel spots, strip lights, multi spots, zoom spots, etc. We would LOVE a reliable option to continue using these wonderful light shapers that we have mastered and that Profoto is renowned for—their amazingly unique light shapers! A packs with 4 sockets, 1200-2400Ws or 1500-3000Ws, would be ideal. It doesn't need to have the extreme speeds of the Pro-11, so the cost can be kept in the range of $8000-$11,000. Including TTL, Air2, and tethering capabilities with a PC or mobile device would be perfect. Many of us are eager for this. While I'm fortunate to own a Pro-11, I rely heavily on two additional D4s and a Pro-7 packs for big setups that require packs m. I'm sure many other photographers are in a similar situation and are uncertain about getting their old discontinued packs fixed in the coming years. If you make it, we will buy it. I'm confident that numerous rental studios with smaller budgets would rejoice as well!
Same design as profoto prodaylight air 800w with ballast to keep the head small as possible and to be able to control light manually from ground level, preferably with a dome. PLEASE!!!!
I would LOVE for Profoto to add channel scan ability on their A10's & Transmitters. As in give us the ability to see what the cleanest channels in the area are. I mean Godox, Westcott, & Canon do it... Guessing the best out of your 99 channels is not fun when we get misfires!!
I'd love something as powerful as a D2 1000 or Broncolor Siros (800 w/s) that runs off batteries. I often that the B10 Plus just doesn't have the grunt I need when trying to get nice diffusion on location. Maybe the new D3 with a battery would be possible?
I like casting shadows on a backdrop. I'd like to see a gobo holder attachment. I've made crude tubes to hold stencils (painting stencils for wall borders). This would be ideal for B- and A- series strobes.
Profoto B1/B1X seems to have a fitting issue with its battery (i.e. it does not sit well in place, causing its connection points to frequently disconnect). It can be frustrating when this happens on set.
Understand that there are new replacements for the portable monolights (B10 series), but there are still users of the B1/B1X series, and it would help to provide a battery that sits well in the housing. I like the suggestion of getting an AC adapter for the B1/B1X series, and would hope the battery mould would sit well.
Hope Profoto can address this.
When you clamp down the Clic Octabox Handle onto a stand, the clamp is not strong enough to keep the modifier from spinning when a slight breeze passes by. There needs to be a stronger grip on the light stand!
There is no reason the firmware update on the A10 couldn't allow the on-camera flash to adjust and control all of the groups ABCDEF not just ABCD. And while you are at it, there is no reason that groups D E or F need to ONLY be Manual. That is an artificial limitation that hinders our ability to create and shape light in an ever-fluctuating environment. These tools (small flashes) are made for event and documentary photographers. So stop putting limitations on them, arbitrarily.
Every Group should be available for Use as TTL or Manual and you should be able to turn any of them to TTL or to Manual at any time. The TTL/Manual hard switch on the side of the A10 should be a full TTL or Full Manual, but in the display and buttons of the A10 and the Connect Pro, you should be able to add the option to change each group to TTL or Manual on its own. Photographers who use TTL with 3 flashes, usually need TTL with 4 flashes, but just can't because Profoto decided that 3 was enough. It's not!!!
It would be very useful for my studio work to be able to see in app or directly through the Connect Pro the actual flash duration time in o ed der to use proper power to freeze the action.
The more I use the A2...the more I wish it had an optical trigger. Sometimes I want to trigger it from something other than a profoto trigger. Or if batteries die on location and there was no backup...I could at least fire it from a hotshoe flash in an emergency. A version update with an optical trigger built in would be great. Im amazed the A2 didn't have this. Especially at the price point... when it seems every light on the planet at least has an optical.
Would love to have a 3x4 or 4’ Octabox in a OCF platform. Would give more options to use the B10 plus line with larger groups rather than having to go to an RFI.
A fresnel lens for the A-series strobes. One for the B-series would be nice as well. Perhaps something that clips onto the magnum reflector. This would be along the lines of a Better Beamer attachment

Or develop a workaround. The hot shoe feet on the A series and the Air Remotes are way too fragile. I had an air remote go out on a shoot due to the cracked foot epidemic. It wouldn't even fire. I ended up having to use a pocket wizard to fire an old acute b pack and used my b10+s on IR slave. Is there anything that can be done? The other option, and I'm sure others would agree this would be great, is to just acknowledge that it's a commonly broken item and design anything with a hot shoe mount to be user serviceable. You could sell the replacement kit for the same amount you charge to fix them and not have to hassle with the labor. Win-Win.
Since there is no longer an Acute level ring light, this seems like a no brainer. No one outside of a rental house can justify the price for the ProRing2 and a pack. Something small and light that uses either the b10 batteries or even the A series batteries would be clutch. It doesn't need to be all that powerful.
Please stop hobbling the b10 series. The knobs are useless. I had to put third party ones on it. really that whole mechanism is way too weak to hold anything other than a 3 ft octa, and even that can be unwieldy. Also for the love of god put in a sync cord jack. Theres no reason not to. While I prefer to use the air remotes, I occasionally need to use pocket wizards and its just silly at this price point to not have it.
I love my B10 but so wish there was a Clic softbox similar to the A2. Hope you consider adding this to give B10 users more portability and faster setup. Thanks.
When using single or multiple flashes, it would be very helpful to have a real-time display of the flash level for each one in use. It can be frustrating to have to physically approach each device to check its power level.
Often I am using the A10 as an accent light. I have my B10's on A-C channels and the A10's on D and E. Can you turn on TTL for them via the Connect Pro?

I already own 10- B 10 X pluses, 6- A10s, and will be buying 10 of the A2 lights as well.
I have become a complete devotee of Profoto, but I am trying to find ways in which Profoto modifiers can be used across your platforms, and have suggestions that I believe could really help you convert small budget photographers into very successful and financially more able photographers who would remain devoted to your brand.
Example: your click system of modifiers have a few good contributions, and the B10 system has a few nice solutions, but there’s very little out there to encourage a willing spender to grow a bigger arsenal of Profoto equipment.
I would gladly buy the Hardbox, the Fresnel Spot, and other accessories, but I need more exposure to compatibility before I just buy and regret due to a lack of information.
You guys make the BEST STUFF.
We, your most devoted photographers could really use something to attend.

Being able to shoot bursts and having individual flashes go off for each shot instead of all of them. Imagine the possibilites of being able to to control the power of each flash in post production. Look at what Jeremy Cowart is doing with this technique
I'm strongly considering leaving Profoto because this feature isn't available
This can't be a new suggestion but really the only complaint I have about the wonderful B10 is the smooth knob which adjusts the angle of the light on the stand. It can't be beyond the wit of Profoto to make an attractive know which is easy to grasp and turn...
Based on my experiences as a rental house, we have found it is not a good idea to transport the batteries installed in the B1's as a small jolt, or hit, can break the "tabs" on the battery. Battery then as to be replaced, not repaired, to my understanding. How about a dummy battery or cavity cover for the heads during travel? This will protect the pins on the head.
Please replace the velcro closing of Octas and Umbrellas packaging etc. with a button or zipper. The diffuser materials and the grids constantly keep sticking when (Un)packing these materials making it a bigger hassle to get ready/cleanup.
And allow separate purchase of this new packaging for existing products (and price it at a normal rate 😉)
MadMod has a great system for creative and easy gobo effects. Something like this for the A series would be great.

I need to use my Profoto a2 as a light source for macro photography, to do that I enlarge the bounce card using a white PVC and fill inside an aluminum sheet to make it more reflective
I think a ball-joint style mount that’s universal with all ProFoto flash units would be invaluable. That way a user could prop any light to the end of a c-stand or on top of a light-stand to have a 360° range of rotation with their strobe.
as i fly with my b10/b10x i remove the batteries and the exposed terminals can get bent when rough handling , a 3d printable or molded cover for them would be great . just to protect them from harmsway
I am constantly adjusting my exposure compensation please do some firmware update that will work properly with canon, sometimes its spot on and other times its blown out or underexposed... and that is both with the connect pro and the on camera A10x..
A robust flash mount/bracket to connect the A10 and Profoto Click softbox Octa, with the camera, to avoid fumbling with one thing in each hand, when a tripod isn't possible to use.
I would like the next generation of the Connect Pro to have a rechargeable battery, like the Connect. A big reason I moved to the A system was the rechargeable battery in the A's vs. dealing with a supply of half used AA batteries in my gear bag. Now with the Connect Pro, I'm back to carrying AAA's in my bag and wondering when the unit will lose power.
Many photographers don't want to have multiple chargers when traveling, if we are able to charge the batteries via USB connections then they can charge them with what they already have.
Make a speed ring that is just a smaller collar for the A2 or every magnetic as well but still clamps down liek the OCF ring but also keep the normal flange length to just use any normal ocf profoto mods for people who don’t want to carry the OCF adapters
if the high sync mode is activated, the b10 and b10+ currently have very ugly colors that can hardly be corrected afterwards (brownish, violet, green tones). E.g. situation: indoor dance portrait with a shutter speed of over 1/200 mixed with room light (daylight in the dance hall).
the radio triggers are super practical, but there have been cases where nothing worked at all (due to interference signals, etc.) in this case you wish you had the option of plugging in a synchro cable, as you would have done with any other device in the past.
I would like a device comparable to the broncolor scoro. A device with high constant power to work very quickly (fashion / sports photography in the studio). Which is still reasonably handy and reasonably affordable.
a menu option where it is possible to ensure constant flash output regardless of the reload status or battery charge status. so that the flash only goes when the specified power is delivered.
at the moment the flash fires with low power when it is not yet fully charged. according to the motto: better an underexposed picture than none?! this is very tedious in professional photography. Since there will be inconstant results if you don't hear the soft beep and trigger it beforehand. It would be better if there was an option in the menu to choose whether or not to fire the flash when it is not fully charged. Or even better would be if you had the possibility to work faster at high power (10). In my opinion, the devices B10 and B10+ are still 3x too slow, especially for fashion photography.
It's obvious the compact and smaller solution you get on the b10's but compared with the B1's you easily see the lack of resistance and durable materials. Get a compromise with the best of both solutions please.
I've been waiting on the 1000W solution on monobloc battery strobes since you release the D2. Push it ahead, it will be the best Battery monobloc strobe in market.
The B4 is by far the best outdoor pack for strobe. Please bring it back, even don't have to improve just bring it back as well as B4 batteries in order to proper supply existing ones in the market.
When you work with cinema-lenses they use measured in T-values. I would like to see something similar on my strobes. A firmware option, where you recalculate the numbering-system over the entire line-up, so 4 on the B1 puts out just as much light as 4 on the D2. Couldn't that be possible with just a firmware upgrade (and some additional work)???
I've had 4x TTL Remotes break on me for the exact same reason - The buttons have snapped off from the housing.
Find a better system for buttons or create them to be replaceable.
I'm dismayed to have had 12x D2 1000w heads need to be sent back for repair due to failure. Some of these heads are 4 years old and some are less than 2 years old.
Quality and reliability isnt what it used to be.
Introduce an update to the connect pro so that you can allow users with older flash units and new blue tooth units to work within the same mode. We should be able to monitor the power output of the new blue tooth units regardless of what mode you are in. If I am using an A1 Flash Unit with an A10 under the same mode, then I should be able to see the power output of the A10 while at the same time seeing the A1's power change. I suggest making a mode 3 via firmware updates to have best of both world when it comes to mixing older units with the new blue tooth units.
B2 was a very good flash light, because of very small and light weight flash head, give more flexibility on micro photography, and B2 is the smallest head flash light on the market with great power and continue use with charger.
What B2 need to change: 1) add LED modelling power adjustable (full power modelling not fit for all use case). 2) make LED modelling colour temperature adjustable or fixed colour temperature as same as flash light , because current B2 with tungsten LED modelling cause the low power flash go more warm. 3) make 2 sizes of battery replaceable for B2.
I would love to have an option to show relative power output number. So that on 1000ws max. would be 10, on 500ws 9 and on 250ws 8.
This way it wouldn’t matter if you have different heads (like 500ws and 1000ws mixed) in the set, you would always be able to quickly see the approximate power you get from the flash, and then fine tune from there.
This could be an option in the menu, and the numbers could show with different color or outline only.
This new Platform to send you ideas is awesome! A few ideas to improve it: 1. Search other topics while type in the title. So there will be less duplicates. 2. Reset the counter of likes per day. I can‘t vote for new ideas. 3. Make a button at the button to comment. So everybody see this possibility. 4. Combine the same ideas to one with comments from each other idea. 5. More ideas on one page for scrolling on a mobile phone.
It would be convenient to have a way to attach a lens to the front of a D-series or Pro head via a standard Profoto collar. This would provide the ability to focus the light into a very tight spot when needed, to help replicate the look of sunlight, for example.
The current rfi 5ft Octa is SO difficult to assemble – I can never do it on my own, and so I hardly ever use it. If I had a quick release version that assembles like an umbrella or the Clic octabox, I would use it all the time! (To be compatible with B1's and D2's)
Handles on B10 cases are woefully weak. Needs much stronger stitching and straps.
My handle has snapped with minor use - with the case normally in storage or on a magliner.
Really not good quality.
More than once I have invested in Profoto gear only to have a new iteration come out within months. I would appreciate an opportunity to upgrade and trade in the purchased gear if I want the new iteration.
Ad an engraved angle indication to the base of the Profoto flashes to help setup lightshapes faster. Both in rotation and angles down. On the spigot part the panning angles could be displayed just like a panning rotator and the angle lock system could indicate the downward or upward angle. This would both help with education and easier repeating light setups.
Now that the Profoto D2 can often replace using Profoto Packs with separate heads it would be great to have an app to easily control multiple heads.
I've used Profoto Control with the Profoto Connect button free trigger and it works OK but it would be great to have an app like Arri has for Skypanels. Something simple yet comprehensive for studio photographers, with multiple lights in hard to reach places.
Pins should be flat with a round edge to make contact. If Profoto A1X speed-light or trigger is inadvertently pulled in any direction other than straight back it puts the wire contacts at risk for damage. It happened to my A1X that fortunately was still under warrantee at B&H. In addition, I would prefer that the on camera Profoto trigger for HSS had an on / off button rather than the auto HSS depending on selected shutter speed.
I really hate it when one of my OCF or A-series flashes „silently dies“ and I get bad exposures. Please implement a firmware change, that gives an acoustic alarm on very low battery, so that I notice and can change the battery before having bad exposures because one of the flashes does not fire correctly.
Most cameras have some sort of weather sealing now.
Outdoor shoots while raining happen.
Weather sealed transmitters & flashes would put Profoto ahead of the pack.
I have A & B series CF and OCF flash systems.
I LOVE the Clic magnetic lines that are being produced for the A series.
Please continue the A series Clic lines to include rectangular soft boxes and beauty dishes.
B series needs some sort of Clic system, magnetic or not (I understand that even powerfull magnets can only hold so much weight), the speed rings are colour convenient, but are much slower to setup than the A series Clic system.
The Clic system for the A series is what brought me over the Profoto as a loyal client. I imagine this would also have a ripple effect if brought to the B and even the D lines….

Hello as a lover of profoto, I am not sure why you would design the battery power worse than those from other brands such as Godox and so on.
Please have more power and I will be more willing to buy your new modules in the future!! Please do😆
Bring back the original grid/gel system but with a locking clip in release system that fits gels like the old design. When released it came out w/3 grids and optional gels. So much better for creative options and the cost was far more reasonable than the limited option that is offered to date for grids/gels, corrective or creative colors.
The recycling time around 2s for full power is to slow and got even slower from B1x to B10x Plus. Outdoors and when I need big f-number I miss a lot of good moments in my people shootings. Please beat Elinchrom with their 1.6s 😉
I love the flat front strobes with built in reflector on all the mono lights but sometimes I really need a bare bulb strobe head for various reasons including shallow umbrellas/softboxes. I t would be fantastic solution if that flat front strobe could be unplugged/unscrewed/removed and replaced with a bare bulb attachment. This would be a sold separately optional purchase for those who need it. It would also make it able to have a spare flat front bulb in case it breaks on a shoot as those could be sold separately as well.
I realize there's a frosted glass attachment for the B1 but it's more of a compromise.
so basically a moonlight with swappable flat front or bare bulb elements. thank you for your consideration of this idea.
I apologize if I've missed something but where do the Profoto returns go? I know Profoto offers, on rare occasions, refurbished demo gear but what about traditional returns? I buy refurbished photo gear consistently but the Profoto tab rarely seems to offer much. We'd love to have it even if at the modest discount levels offered by a Canon or DJI.
Picture this, On camera flash has a an attached small light that clicks to the top of the flash so when pulled off it ls an extra fill flash you can raise over your head. I know you need an extra battery but why not have it tethered via a thin wire that recoils inside the main on camera flash?
In small spaces, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve poked my face (and almost eye) moving around the XL umbrella. Wish there was a feature to unscrew and remove the long exposed stem while in use.
I would like to have a one-touch expandable softbox like the Clic Softbox 2' (60-80cm) Octa for the B10 series.
It does not have to be magnetic.
I want it for a location shoot.
Sometimes on location going from inside shots to outside shots it would be nice to be able to charge the battery while shooting when near a power outlet
The light of the pro heads is 1000 times better( more beautiful) than your compact, flat, versions. We need to recover a proper exposed flash bulb with the improvement of a powerful led for modelling. Barebulb simply doesn’t work with your compact heads...sorry!
I am a Leica Shooter. I would love to Profoto, the Rose Royce of the lighting and modifier company add a line of dedicated communication of Leica to your system. I am aware of the recently Connect Pro remote. But I would like to see more Leica into your ecosystem.

The mount needs to be made out of metal instead of cheap plastic. You make the rest of the OCF adapter out of metal and make the mount out of plastic? I've broken four of these already. At any rate - just start supplying metal ones to those requesting a replacement. I have three OCF adapters in use all the time.
High quality, continuous source lights used to be terrible, but there are increasingly becoming the norm in many (not all, of course) applications. Profoto makes premium quality, premium priced strobes and modifiers that work great and I own a fair number of them, from the A1X to the D2. Keep it up! But other companies are now making some good continuous-lights that can be used with Profoto modifiers. I'd rather buy a continuous-source light made by Profoto. I know that quality would be excellent, and a Profoto continuous-source light would be perfectly integrated into my Profoto ecosystem.
Get a faster way to access frequently used menu options (B10 kind of menus). Some ideas:
- have an additional button (it could be customizable button)
- touchscreen
- quick return to main
I fell in love with the idea of being able to shoot a quick succession of movement using the freeze mode on my B1x’s
The variable power output in this situation is extremely frustrating and I barely use it, even though it was one of the main selling points.
Does it need a mega battery for this to work?
Even a mains option would be a good start with the option of taking a generator (annoying and heavy but at least reliable)
As we know, there are so many strobe companies now. Way less expensive than Profoto. As a longtime Profoto disciple, I’m gonna need more love. All the ideas on this forum sound amazing. Let’s put them all under one umbrella. Replacing broken strobes and modifiers at a discount. Credit towards new strobes on trade-ins. Refurbished strobes for sale would be life changing to new photographers. Reward your clients for being loyal to these products. Yes the products are better. No doubt. But in todays climate, cheaper lighting sounds more and more attractive.
Right now, if you bump or deliberately adjust the zoom ring on the a10 Speedlight it goes to the manual setting. There doesn't seem to be a quick way to get it back other than opening the settings menu. I'd suggest that if the flash was on ttl mode it would revert to auto-zoom each power on or even possibly after a timeout.
Some of the lightweight OCR modifiers for the B10 series of flashes are no where near the durability of the heavier RFi modifiers etc. Great for travel, but with the output of something like a B10X plus an adapter to allow the use of heavier modifiers in a studio environment would be really useful. In the same vein, future versions of the b10x line need a sturdier body and sturdier mount for this reason.
Three of the four black buttons in the a10 speed light don't do anything while shooting. It would be nice if these could be programmed for different tasks.
The B1X is long overdue for an update. I can’t buy another in its current state. The price for the duo pack is DOUBLE today in comparison to when I bought it a few years ago.
To solve this, I would say its reasonable the old B1X should go back down to the more realistic and not insane price it used to have. The current price would probably be reasonable for the updated B1X.

This is what I’m waiting for. Got money saved up for new B1X. But I can’t convince myself to buy a new pair for double the price. For this we need something new and updated.
I find it surprising that all Profoto softoxes require you to insert each rod one at a time. Better soft boxes these days are designed with the rods permanently attached to the speed ring (and fabric permanently attached to the rods) with some way of quickly opening it when required.
I understand that if you are traveling you'd want a level of safety to prevent a flash from turning on accidently. Unfortunately when you're working fast and need to turn the flash on/off regularly, holding the power button is an unessery inconvenience. So during a shoot it would be much nicer if the flash turned on/off instantly when the power button was pressed.
I've come from a cheaper brand of flash and was surprised I couldn't see the current flash output power on the remote when using a b1x. I don't understand why this would be so hard to fix considering ttl flashes set the power output each time the flash is fired.
Profoto is a bit on the cold side, specially on the newer B10 B10X A10 A2’s
B1 was not so cold!
When the temperature passes 5600’C it’s starting to be to cold..
And Profoto should have a constant temperature all over the line also!
A tool that levers around the rods to disconnect them from the speed ring. Especially for the larger boxes. A gloved hand helps as do rubber jar-lid grips, but those are not always available.
Quite a few times I used two B10 with one deep white umbrella with diffusor for video, i.e. continuous light, in my case to avoid ventilation to start, reducing the light output of the B10s to about 50%. I would love an umbrella tripod stand with connectors for two B10/B10X.
One remote that works for every major camera manufacturer. Right now I have three with different stickers on them for shooting with various camera makes.
Our 3x4 RFI soft boxes have the nice big poles that are easier to connect to the adapter but we always have a problem when the poles slip out of the insert on the modifier itself, that end needs to be able to connect somehow so that they don’t come out as they attach to the adapter on the opposite end
I want to be able to bring in Packs into my high volume studio that would replace my D2s. Our commitee won’t sign off on the fact that two pack lights are as much as 4 broncolor lights of equal power. Please make a reliable pack that can handle 4 lights that can shoot around the same power as D2 1000 or more that is on the lower end of pricing with less features
Need an easier to remove front glass to change out the Bulbs. If the front element could screw on then you would be able to sell Dome or clear pieces easier as sets for more options on the fly. the current system takes too long to remove if a head goes out
Attach front glass lens, on the B10/B10X so that it can be replaced by the user rather than sending it off for repair for a few weeks. Could be similar to the B1 design.
One monohead to rule them all. Same heavy duty form factor with the pro-quality back handle, knob, and stand spigot. 1000 w/s, and can be used with either a high capacity battery, or true AC power. All flash specs equal to or better than the current B1X or D2. This would be THE light for me.
dedolight uses »parallel beam intensifiers«, i.e. lenses that produce an extreme and focusable spot effect. This allows to place light further away or to use mirrors to put lightsources in very tight places. dedolight uses mirrors with different dispersion as light modifiers. To add this to B10/B10X would be a great help for videographing.

Can these be designed with a replaceable center shaft? I know I've bought at least three large deep umbrellas! It's a shame to retire the whole thing because the rod isn't replaceable.
1) add indicators for color temperature of continuous light. 2) indicate »save« light level where ventilation would not start – possibly with a led, as this may be depending on environments temperature. B10/B10X are great lights for interviews, etc., also due to modifiers. For photography, ventilation is ok (and allows more setup/continuous light), for video ventilation is a problem.
We are photograph but because the world is changing quiet fast, because it is more and more difficult to sell pictures some of us are also doing some video stuff.
A stronger light on the B10 x while working on sector would be a must. Or d2 .
Actually we must buy panel leds and flash but space and budget is always limited. Especially for photographer.
I would like to see a strobe that can be converted to various types of flash heads like the Godox EC-200 & AD200, or a strobe that can be separated from the body and head.
This is because the light stand does not become top-heavy and is useful for outdoor shooting.
The B10 case is impossible to carry easily. I would like a strap on it! The backpack for the B1s is great; why do the B10 and B10x have such crappy little cases?
Today is flash daylight but we all work with filters to create different moods or match the ambient light. That’s the biggest reason I use more and more continous lightning. I can feel that flash light don’t develop like continuous light. Think if we can have like 1000watt from daylight to tungsten with adjustable color temperature, tint and hue. Maybe we can start with built in filters with a value 1-10 (like B10) so we don’t compare with example Arri as have 100% accurate values.
The B4 Air was/is an AMAZING unit and silly it went away (except when renting where they still enjoy quite a lot of use). The B1x and d2 are great, but do not come close to the endless options which a new B4 could open up. The new version could be;
a) smaller/lighter 1200w/s Pac
b) longer battery life
c) all the current bells and whistles like bluetooth, usb...
d) total weather sealing
I will always prefer using the Pro heads when they are an option (again, always want a round dome instead of flat... seems to be a theme here) and the B4 allowed the perfect blend of studio/location functionality. It also saves 1 sandbag for the stand when you mount the pack, more-better less gear. I literally would buy 2 pacs right now if they were available.
Doing Architecture there is no limit to the power needed in shooting large structures. It would be great to have 2,000 watt strobe or higher. Also, have a battery source to operate the strobe so an outlet wouldn't be necessary.
I have ProGlobe and use it often but it’s always problem to transport it. Would like to see a foldable that works with flash and continuous lightning (hope you really focus on that light this year).
For studio sessions that don't allow a great amount of time with a subject, the ability to group a handful of lights in different configurations can save lots of time and allow for flexibility of looks. For example, the Buff Cybersync allows you to have 16 lights on a singular frequency, and group them into 8 different configurations that allow individual lights to be in multiple groups. And, to extend the idea, the ability to cycle through a specified set of groups rapidly (speedcycler) would allow a fast way to get multiple looks from a single pose by your subject (for the shoots when you only have a few minutes, and you need to get everything you can).
Please just do à up to date 1000w 220V Bat-Pac using 4 V-mount battery to power the D2 outside… the D2 1000 is the best compact flash ever made, it is so good to have the extra stop to shoot in bright daylight. And V-mount battery can be rented anywhere…
Or maybe even 4 x 18v power tool battery like dewalt or makita ….
An easily detachable, magnetic dome diffusor for the larger sized B1/B1x strobes would be really useful. It would create more even light across softboxes, or any modifier designed to make a larger, softer source.
If this were coupled with a clear glass cover to replace the stock frosted one, you probably wouldn't lose much power from the strobe.
The clic octabox is great but moves around on a boom arm. Would be great to implement a tightening knob so it could be more easily held at angles by an assistant.
Either allow for in body battery charging if A series (a10 a2) batteries via usb plug into the flash itself as the charger OR develop new batteries with usb c port in the battery itself to plug in and charge to eliminate the bulky chargers they have now. These are small lights meant for portability and carrying chargers inhibit that. (Also a battery gauge in the battery would be great so you don’t need to mount it and turn the unit on jsut to check how dead it is)
A smaller but powerful A series flash with dedicated TTL for mirrorless cameras (including Leica M) and photographers on the go! Like travel and street shooters!
Add a magnetic mount for the 10cm mount from B10x, B1x etc. so it easy to add Filter, grids etc. to the flash. So it is possible to use gels with a softbox.
Make a thin border to not loose any light and that it is not bigger than 10cm.
Please redo your accessories for the small profoto flashes. I wish you would make a very light diffuser that won’t fall off like the bad design that is current. Your magnets on the girds and Dome the glue separates and falls apart. I have never spent so much money on accessories that I constantly have to rebuy or Re glue. I wish you would make a diffuser that just goes around head similar to what I am buying aftermarket for. I can’t be at jobs having parts constantly fall of flashes
As a street photographer, I hope for a small but powerful flash for Leica M-series and Ricoh GR. It should be smaller than the A series, it looks like the flash on Contax G2. And use Li-battery. I dream it comes true. Thanks so much!
A clic stripbox would be great for A flashes.
As a professionnel portrait photographer, I often work on location and try to have the lightest gear as possible.
For this reason I use a A flash as a backlight on the hair of my models and a B10 as my main light for their face.
And what is the most useful modifier for a backlight like this ? A stripbox ! So when I saw your clic system I immediatly felt that a stripbox would be the ferfect match for my kind of set up.
The control dial on the A10 can be unintentionally moved too easily when mounted to a camera hots hoe. Especially when wearing a hat. A rim of plastic encircling the dial moulded on the body of the flash unit would obviate this.
All the Profoto Bags are black inside, most equipment and caps are black. The reason for using Profoto lights is usually because there is not enough daylight. A bright coloured lining in side bags would save a lot of rummaging around for that dropped grid etc.
I love my B10x but I’d love to see its capability of producing full power at faster shutter speeds. I love the portability of it, but it doesn’t have the flash power to keep up with an action shot with enough flash power. HSS doesn’t cut it. And I’d love to see it have the option to be full power, constant on.
No doubt it’s already en route, but if not then a square and/or small rectanglular softbox for the A2s would be mega useful for on location product/drink shots.
(It would be good if these cost a chunk less than OCF modifiers too otherwise what’s the point in Clic?)
Get rid of captured cable on B10 charger. I appreciate not being able to lose that cable. However we are always going to find a way to break these cables. The ax plug side of this charger is also usually too short to even meet the floor from a light stand. Please make that cable twice as long.
I would like to have an on camera flash and radio trigger where I can simply select the camera brand: Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Panasonic, Leica - and then the device works with the respective manufacturer.
Rollei does this with a clip-on flash. As I understand it, it's simply a matter of different PIN assignments. If they are all present, the software switches to the respective manufacturer.
I have several B10x plus units I hoped to use for lighting interviews. Unfortunately the fans are way too loud to have anywhere near a boom mic. Anything that can be done to quiet these fans. Or even a firmware upgrade with an option to turn them off when not using the flash tube.
I have had two chargers go down (fused) on location and it’s so difficult to source a new one , please can you make a new design or an adapter for USB c
you already know what i'm talking about. few improvements through years even if you original profoto studio design was a better starting point.
It has to end up on iPad better than Luminair or Stellar from ergonomic point of view.
I use the b10 plus professionally as part of my setup on a daily basis. I love the stand adapter compactness, but would suggest
1 - A much stronger joint for professional use, as well as for safety!
2 - A step-less design for precise adjustment.
I think it may be worth sacrifice a little on the compactness in exchange for rigidity.
A weak and unreliable stand just make me hesitate to trust this setup 100%

Please bring back the B2 as the B2x. as a sports and events photographer I love my old B2 and the recycle time. I would love a "B2x" as a "baby pro-11" keep it at 250ws but make it recycle as fast or almost as fast as a pro-11 pack. for 4-5 full power flashes.
The Connect pro is to big for someone like me who only has one A10 and isn't planning to get any other, maybe A2 in the long future. Something between the Connect and Connect Pro is my dream air remote.
Create a new speedring and rod system that allows for quick setup and breakdown of the RFI softboxes. Building the larger softboxes is the most painful part of using many of the softboxes. This technology hasn’t changed for the last 15+ years and seems dated. I’d love a system similar to Westcott Rapid or Aputure that uses a quick release rod system and rods that are just as durable but not as unforgiving as used on the RFI softboxes.
Many modifiers require the ProHead and Pack, keeping some from enjoying these great modifiers unique to Profoto. Having an updated ProHead that’s battery operated (packless) with the features of the B10 would round out the Monolight family.
With so many modifiers being optimized for exposed flash heads, both by Profoto and 3rd, being able to use ALL of Profoto’s unique modifiers would be a great addition. Hardbox, Magnum, Reverse Softboxes, and Parabolic Reflectors are some of the few that are optimized for exposed flash heads.
I can use a 105mm & even a 150 softbox on my B10's because when I first purchased them and realized they were too large for the strobe.... I created and then produced a small metal arm that when attached to the light stand creates a 45 degree angle to the B10's light stand. COMPLETELY removing any and all weight & stress on the B10. I even reached out to Profoto with the idea but no one reached back. I have photos
I would love a way to lock the screens once the power levels/settings have been set. When working an event with multiple camera’s it’s very easy for one of our four cameras (each with their own Connect Pro) to bump the power level settings. I use Profoto Air Remotes primarily to control my lights but using sync cables can be very helpful too in various settings. This feature is available on the older B2 and why I still use it often!
I often have some high-tech industry products with complex shapes that are very tedious to mask out using the pen tool. Therefore I use the trick with the masking technique by turning off the front flashes and using only the background light to create a silhouette of the object. But doing this for every photo snap is really annoying and sometimes I also forget it since it’s manually and then I have to redo each product. See the attached pictures that Im allowed to show. Since the D2 are very fast with continuous flashes I can imagine capturing also portraits, splashes, athletes in mid-air etc. with these technique. Capturing a clean mask for postproduction would be really an advantage for these kind of subjects too. I saw a Hensel demonstration years ago on an exhibition where athletes where jumping around and where captured with the appropriate mask and I was blown away back then. I know Profoto wants to keep things as simple as possible and this is absolutely legit but you could integrate some sort of “Advanced” menu for other users where one can activate such features if there is a need for it. Also a display preview of the current flash duration in t0.5, and t0.1 would be awesome too. Profoto D4 1200, 2400 or 4800 Air has been commercial-, advertisement- and fashion photographers bread and butter generator for ages. Sure the Pro-10 and Pro-11 are amazing studio packs, but I wold LOVE to see a similarly priced replacement for the D4 with support for FOUR heads instead of having to buy TWO Pro-11's
Directly linked to rental market. But to re-enforce the rod section of the softboxes. So that the rod does not push through the end when it is open and stretched.
If you don't end up going to USB-C connectors, a nice improvement in the B10/+ battery would be to make the hole where the power plug goes in sloped or designed in a way to make it easier to plug in when the environment is dark. I've added a white paint ring around the hole to make it easier to find, but I'm sure you could come up with a better solution.
I own eight of these, in total. None of them are able to hold the larger ProFoto softboxes at a consistent angle. They all eventually lose grip and tilt until the softbox rests upon the stand. Quite frustrating to have to constantly reset the angle of the lights or use a counterweight to prevent slippage. A stronger grip is needed!
I often use my reflectors, especially the Magnum, in harsh and humid environments. I have several of them that are rusting due to long use at the beach. A new material which does not rust would be nice.
The current flash tube design requires a surgeon's skills to remove and replace a flash tube. A plug and play redesign of this element would be wonderful for those of us who own many heads and use our gear practically every day. Although not a common occurence, the flash tubes do eventually fail and an easier replacement path would be nice.
Shooting outdoors in the sun requires a lot of flashpower. Since the B10's are so compact and light, mounting two together would make for an extra valueble f-stop.
Give the opportunity to replace A1 units with brand new A10 with a large discount in a trade in program. I have a lot of problems with battery drain and head "free rotations" and magnets holding capacity (I have got 3 units with same issue). Thank you so much.
Most professional cameras are weather sealed. A matching radiotransmitter would be perfect for all those momens when you have use for the sealing of the camera.
The front of the softboxes should be available. Why not print any finny pictures on the surface? May be a smily or a sun, Palm beach or snow on mountains? Just to make models hapy.

Come out with a budget version of Pro 11 head and battery pack system with same power as the B10s & B10 Plus (250W and 500W)
Monolights are good and all but the combined weight of the monolights with modifiers puts substantial weight on the top of most stand setups, hence, shifting the centre of gravity higher. Thereby, needing sturdy and heavy stands to support them and it get more complicated if booms are brought into play. This means more heavy equipment esp sandbags to keep the setup stable. Working in the field and small crews , this is undesirable as the entire setup becomes less mobile and more time consuming to setup.
I think we should be able to make the Profoto A10 flash head rotate down to the left &/or right angle to eliminate the shadow under the chin when shooting. This will bring the flash closer to then lens!
-Maybe add a little more strength with this version. Love the A series!

Also, a smaller version of the A10 would be phenomenal! When using my smaller camera's with the A10 , it stands out and weighs more than the camera! So picture an A10 on top of a Fuji x100v or Leica Q2

The diffuser on my A1s are constantly falling off at events. Since they stick out further and are more easily bumped, particularly when my camera is hanging from my strap, they really need more/better magnets.
I've wondered why we are still using plastic gels for color on strobes, even just CTO, while continuous RGB has been on the market for a decade. I know we have the clic stuff and magnets, but it's still an attachment to create a colored strobe. I'm sure there is a lot of technology behind it, but I'd love to see it happen!
In the fast moving entertainment and commercial photo landscape of LA - we often have multiple lighting setups on one set that have to move quickly when we have limited time with talent on set. We often have upwards of 10 packs and 20 heads on larger sets. Sometimes those heads turn on or off - or change power settings for different setups. The ability to record settings on individual packs that could then be controlled as a larger saved "set" would be amazing. Then - we could have multiple "sets" saved - and each pack would automatically change settings accordingly when we change the set. (Very much like Arri has done with their Stellar App) That way - you could cycle between sets with the ease of an changing the "set" in the Profoto connect app set. My apologies if this is already an option - I admittedly haven't used the Profoto app in a few months and there may be an update I'm not aware of! (Which - would be amazing! ; )
One of the most used pieces of EQ on set these days is the ZoomSpot. But they're big and bulky and hard to travel with. Aputure has created a Spotlight that is much smaller - but it only has a Bowens mount...so to adapt it for a Profoto head is a bit cumbersome. So - either introducing a quality Profoto to Bowens adaptor that can take some weight or re-introducing the ZoomSpot with a re-design to make travel and ease of use more user friendly would be an amazing idea!
I love my B10plus’s but find myself needing to rent a large $14000 plug in pack at times when recycle speed is important, mostly it’s studio setups on location. A 2k battery powered pack for 2x1k or 1x2k heads would be a perfect fit for me and I bet a TON of others. If it was under 5k I’d bite your arm off!!
The B10 series lights have a soft knob to lock the tilt angle that can only be positioned in one of the tooth engagement positions and can be difficult to loosen - especially with a gloved hand. A short lever handle to prevent over tightening would be more secure and easier to loosen.
Currently the freeze mode / normal mode can only be selected form the flash menu itself. Would it be possible to include that option also in the old trigger and also the new connect pro (and perhaps in my earlier idea of the connect pro 2.0)?
Instead of a flat front, include a B10 and D2 series model that mimics the pro series. This style provides more uniform lighting for Beauty dishes and soft boxes. These could have a sleeve with a bayonet mount to protect the exposed tube for transport and when shooting with umbrellas, grids, and hard reflectors.
Currently there a user attaches a softbox on the profoto flash. Thta puts a lot of strain on the flash. Especially when using bigger softboxes (e.g. in fashion). I have created a perfect adapter that puts zero strain on the flash. I combined a RFI adapter and a RFo Speedlight speedadapter (Chris referred to it as the Frankenstein-thing ;-)). I works as a charm. Built and sold 43 so far. But maybe (me and) the design team of Profoto can enhance my version into a more lightweight adapter and much cheapier than I create. I have attached a photo of my design.
During indoor event photography with my A1 where I need to use the CTO gel, I’m constantly moving from a space where I want to use the Softbounce to a space where I want to remove the Softbounce and bounce the strobe off a wall or ceiling. Problem is, the gel filter mounts on top of Softbounce, so I need to fumble to remove the Softbounce, then remove the gel filter and place it on the flash head, then do the opposite to switch back. I wish the gel filter could attach first to the flash head with the Softbounce on top of it so I could simply remove and replace the Softbounce without touching the filter.
It would be nice to have a user friendly Share the light app where you can
a) easily upload your photo(s)
b) with build in lighting diagram creator
c) search option for specific / basic lighting set up’s
d) find tutorials
What I realy love about the Profoto Connect Pro is the readout of the power. I have two ideas for the next version 2.0: a) the connect pro 2.0 can be much more thinner. Can we use technology of the smartphone to make it less thick. There must be a way to develop a thin battery and a really thin connect trigger. The thin battery can perhaps cover the whole bottom of the connect pro which can also serve as a way to strenghten the connect pro 2.0. b) The top of the connect pro 2.0 should have the same look and feel as the app. Touchscreen, so zero (mechanical) buttons! But dont make it too bulky. At the same time provide some kind of screen protection or cover. c) the switch between the 2 modes should be directly on top of the display. I have B1x, B10 and A1/A2. It is taking too much time (when on set) to go into the menu to switch. That makes it also easy to update to new technology.
For t he B10 series a protective cap is available. That cap can be used both for the front and the back. Fdor eah of my B10 strobes I have 2 protective caps. I would like to see a protective cap for the back side of the B1X series.
For the B1 and B1x series, a battery cover is available (see attached image). This is handy to avoid damages when having >1 battery. Also handy for travelling in a aircraft. Is somethign likewise also possible for the B10 series and A-series?
Current the flash bulb is recessed. Sometimes (bigger softboxes + in the beautydishes) you just want a bare bulb. Idea would be to have a part of the front screwable. Without the front part, the bulb is exposed etc. At the same time introduce a better (yoke like) adapter so that the weight of the softboxes is not on the flash but on the yoke adapter. I created a yoke-like adpater by combining a regular RFI adapter and a RFI speedlight adpater (Chris Fain called it the "frankenstein thing" in one of his weekly video's).
Please make software update for the Air Remote TTL-N to show the actual power of the monolight. When the monolight is positioned high I don't know the actual power. I can adjust, but the remote never shows it. Only the increase or decrease.
It would be nice if you offered a buy back program, so updating gently used items was more affordable. These items could then be resold as Profoto Certified products at an affordable price to people who can’t afford the cost of new Profoto products. Everyone wins!
Just like the Profoto Connect Pro, where you can see how much stops/output other flashes use, this should be also visible on an A10, via firmware or via a new version of the flash. This new A10 should also work with older A10's, so you can see how many stops the A10/B10 etc use, instead of guessing the output. This gives better control and learns you how much you push your off camera flash where you can't see it's lcd because it's hanging somewhere.
This combo does not work properly with some flashes (a1x, a10, b10, b10x plus), the frame is not lit fully, it has a dark stripe. Ability to shoot in electronic shutter with a flash is one of the main features of Sony A1. Please fix this problem.
I find myself wishing I had a portable/ battery powered version of the D4 Acute Ring/ ProRing Plus to use for location work. This would be a fantastic compliment to the B10 or B1X series.
It would be great if the Connect Pro would show only lights have been switched on. Currently it could look like you have 6 lights on when only one is actually powered. This leads to having to toggle model lights on/off or ask assistants, "hey which head is that?" The iPhone app works better in this regard.
hi team, we have 4 of the a1/ a1x/ a10 on camera flashes and all of them have broken because of the plastic plate that holds it on to the hot shoe. competitors have all switched to the metal. we have to pay $150 way too often to repair it (on top of the 3x price), so this change would be welcome. thanks in advance.
Combining maybe 5 or so 200w COB led's on a Glass shaft pitch at angles directing the light to a ground glass end protruding out of the light in a profoto fit light. encased in epoxy in the light with heat pipes to multiple heat sinks to cool the unit making a very powerful led light
Using soft boxes for an outdoor photo shoot in a windy day is a bad idea. So, I’d love to see a soft box (maybe 2’x3’) that is portable and wind resistant that is like a rectangle magnum reflector.

The tripod mounts has to be taken back to the drawing board. The design is old and feels obsolete to me. A hint of bright thinking: Arca Swiss made ball heads that where slightly egg shaped which made the object on the ball head fall slower the more further out from the axis it moved because of the egg shape of the ball head caused more resistance. Or some sort of a spring that dampens the tip down or tip up. The handle to tighten the angle of the flash could have ball bearings and a washer; less force is needed and more elegant solution. More ergonomic handle please.
I love my soft bounce, great quality and light but it always falls off my A1 at events and it's big. It would be great if you offered a smaller one so it's not as big and doesn't fall off which is embarrassing when photographing high profile people at events. Also, having a few more options. I was recently shooting with my a10, my clic soft box, and trying to use gels at the same time. I realized that the magnet wasn't strong enough to hold both the gels and the clic soft box, so I had to shoot without gels. I would love a solution so that I could use both at the same time!
I’ve broke two B10 lights from short falls. There are more durable plastics available and if I had more durable plastic I’m positive both falls would have resulted in no damage. Look into the firearms industry plastics. Also, if there were a back cap or padding on the B10’s to protect the knobs and screen that would be great. I’ve made my own out of minicel foam but it looks rough and not professional.
Please add Connect Pro support for B1 + B1X heads so that the power settings are relayed back to the Connect Pro (like the update you did for the D1). Thanks for considering!
Please add labels on the control buttons in A2 similar to A1, e.g. test/on/off, model. Without labels, I was pressing the center button to on/off the A2 by mistake instead of the white button. Also, include an unlock scroll after pressing the on/off button similar to A1. On/off button was pressed accidentally while inside my bag and was draining the battery.
A fully plastic zoom reflector or magnum OCF reflector could be a good idea and less expensive than the current metal ones. Metal ones can get bent on location. No locking ring is needed. Just a slide on design with some integral tabs that provide pressure to the outside of the light housing to keep it secure. Having a plastic one would be good in that it is less expensive = more sales, and if they get damaged it doesn't hurt the pocketbook as much. It likely won't be as reflective as the metal ones, but in many cases that is not an issue.
It's a little thing, but if the head is changed manually the Connect Pro doesn't know about it, or if the head is turned on the Connect Pro has the old power setting. Also the Connect Pro shows power settings for heads that aren't even powered on.
The A2 is adequate in most travel situations, However there the void between my B10 and A2 is often evident when I'm out for days in the backcountry and need more power than the A2 can provide. The B10 is too large to fit into backpacks when space is limited as mountain climbing requires both hands and feet to ascend and descend.
An A3 with 200 WS would be Perfect!
As a newer Profoto user, I was shocked and disappointed that there wasn't sync cable port on my B10x Plus units.
Batteries leak, remotes break, things get lost, etc. Optical triggers aren't always a viable option.
Please ALWAYS include a non-proprietary sync port in your lights!
The pyrex dome attachment for the D2s work with a little bit of creativity but they aren’t a perfect solution. Having a purpose made pyrex and extending the flash out would allow for better light quality from some modifiers that benefit from a wider beam angle.

Similar to RGB LED panels, Bi-color LED tubes allow for easy color temperature adjustment, but offer a more flexible form factor. The ability to change color temperature without changing gels or filters makes it easy for creators to achieve the desired lighting quickly.

With so many photogs transitioning to continuous light, it’s time for premium, Profoto branded fixtures. A COB in the classic Profoto form factor, with internal battery and external v mount support AND 2’ tubes (waterproof) would be most welcome!
How about making the B10 caps out of a material that won't melt if the modeling lights accidentally get turned on while in transport in a backpack? That has happened to my team on more than one occasion and I would think that it could possibly be a fire hazard if left unchecked for a long period of time
Create a lighting system that is intelligent and can adapt to the environment. For example, a system that can adjust the light output based on the ambient light or change color temperature based on the color of the subject's skin. This would save time and make it easier for creators to achieve the desired look.
As an experienced event photographer I really struggle to rapidly switch on / off profoto on camera flash units.
I cannot tell you how many shots I have issued fiddling in a dark event space with the 2 options you currently have, you must come up with a more practical solution to make your studio flashes as good as they could be.
A dummy battery that can connect to an AC adapter so the A2 can run on AC power. I like this idea since the A2 cannot run on AC as it is. I often use my B10s and A2 as a trio. When setting up a studio on location, it would be great to be able to plug in if I choose with the A2 as well. I run the B10s on power all the time. I love being wireless... but sometimes it's handy to be able to plug in and save the battery for later.
Please enable Auto ISO support on Nikon. The lack of this in field settings (non-studio) makes for a substantially inferior experience as compared to Nikon flashes and just makes it harder than it needs to be to use Profoto flashes.
A-series flashes are brilliant, but one thing drives me crazy — why modeling light has a different color temperature than the flash itself? In some cases on dark venues this difference creates color problems. Please release an on-camera flash with 5600K modeling light!
Such a flash which is placed very close to the lens and can give really contrasty harsh light, in some cases this light is exactly what needed when shooting events.
For example a great photographer Greg Williams shoots with a Leica Q2, but as a flash he has to use an old and discontinued Fuji EF-X20 flash, which is ridiculous, but the truth is that there is basically no other choice, if you want a truly small flash. And there is absolutely no choice if you want a small flash with TTL.
When you need to use direct on-camera-flash in a very dim lighted place and need to use very high ISO and max aperture, like at a reception or a wedding dinner. Then the lowest settings isn't low enough.
Canon has solved this problem with their flasgship flash EL-1.
Elinchrom showed very interesting color domes for their One flash. I would love to see similar product in Profoto offer. I think it works faster thank ocf II gels.
I think it is a great idea to make grids for deep umbrellas. I love deep silver umbrellas but i would like to make a light more focused. Mounting system for grids on clic softboxes will fit perfect!
I would love to see new flash tube for B1X and D2. I think there is a possibility to make flash tube legs longer and make it outside the housing. It should be selling with a new, clear dome. I will work much better in big modifiers.
since the B10 and B10plus are so small would it be possible to engineer a proper hand-grip ... so you can use the flashead more handheld without a tripod ?
A 1200Ws pack and head system would be great for booming, and faking a sun from outside a window, etc. Or even refresh the B2's. I love them for booming overhead, even if i have to deal with the pack and head.
Would be cool if Profoto also dived into lighting more suitable for video. Being able to use all the collected RFi Profoto modifiers on a powerful Profoto continuous light for combining photography with cinematography would be great.
I always use my B10 for night and cinematography shooting but it is heavy for outdoor shooting and traveling. The A / clic series have lots of modifiers can choose now. It is great if they can work with continue lighting.
Umbrella quick opening softbox for B10 with build in light weight speed ring. The Profoto clic softbox octa and SMDV flip 20 and 24 are great idea for location shooting
I find these style of modifiers extremely useful in getting a hair light/ overhead light, or in a tight location, most of the time, without needing a boom.
