    Profoto B1/B1X
    1 year agoopen0
Profoto B1/B1X seems to have a fitting issue with its battery (i.e. it does not sit well in place, causing its connection points to frequently disconnect). It can be frustrating when this happens on set. Understand that there are new replacements for the portable monolights (B10 series), but there are still users of the B1/B1X series, and it would help to provide a battery that sits well in the housing. I like the suggestion of getting an AC adapter for the B1/B1X series, and would hope the battery mould would sit well. Hope Profoto can address this.

    Fresnel lens

A fresnel lens for the A-series strobes. One for the B-series would be nice as well. Perhaps something that clips onto the magnum reflector. This would be along the lines of a Better Beamer attachment

B1x fix power output issue on freeze mode
    2 years agoopen0
I fell in love with the idea of being able to shoot a quick succession of movement using the freeze mode on my B1x’s The variable power output in this situation is extremely frustrating and I barely use it, even though it was one of the main selling points. Does it need a mega battery for this to work? Even a mains option would be a good start with the option of taking a generator (annoying and heavy but at least reliable)

    Please update the B1X
    2 years agoopen0
The B1X is long overdue for an update. I can’t buy another in its current state. The price for the duo pack is DOUBLE today in comparison to when I bought it a few years ago. To solve this, I would say its reasonable the old B1X should go back down to the more realistic and not insane price it used to have. The current price would probably be reasonable for the updated B1X. B1X V2 - Main changes 1: 1000ws 2: The new air system 3: AC power options 4: If possible, strong led This is what I’m waiting for. Got money saved up for new B1X. But I can’t convince myself to buy a new pair for double the price. For this we need something new and updated.

    1000 w/s B1X+D2 lovechild

One monohead to rule them all. Same heavy duty form factor with the pro-quality back handle, knob, and stand spigot. 1000 w/s, and can be used with either a high capacity battery, or true AC power. All flash specs equal to or better than the current B1X or D2. This would be THE light for me.

    Update B1X

Please, update the B1X to 1000w, option for straight AC operation and new batteries + strong led light. No need to change the heavy-duty design.

    Air2 firmware for B1/B1X
    2 years agoopen0
When use B1/B1X and B10/B10X together, Air2 is very friendly control for each head. Please consider implement Air2 mode to B1/B1X.

    Battery Powered Ring Flash
    2 years agoopen0
I find myself wishing I had a portable/ battery powered version of the D4 Acute Ring/ ProRing Plus to use for location work. This would be a fantastic compliment to the B10 or B1X series.

    AC Adapter for B1/B1X
    2 years agoduplicate1
I use four B1s for many years. I also do a lot of workshops and it is annoying that i can't use modeling light diring all day shooting cause it consumes enegry very fast. I would love to see adapter that will replace battery in studio photoshoots.

    B1X AC Adapter
2 years ago Chosen for review2
The option to use Profoto B1X directly to the power outlet will be amazing. Especially when you can't charge the battery while using it. There's an AC adapter for another brand and it's a great option.
